Dla mnie lato zawsze pachnie lawendą z mojego ogrodu. Dziś pokażę Wam jak ozdobić pudełko w klimacie retro, z wykorzystaniem papierów ryżowych i szablonów ITD Collection.

Hello

For me, summer always smells like lavender from my garden. Today I'm going to show you how to decorate a box in a retro atmosphere, using rice papers and ITD Collection stencils.

Będziemy potrzebować: pudełka okrągłego z łuby, papierów ryżowych z motywem lawendy i pasujących do nich szablonów, białej farby, farby w odcieniu lawendy, lakieru akrylowego i pasty modelującej oraz koronki. Linki znajdziecie na dole.

You will need: a round wooden box, rice papers with a lavender motif, and matching stencils, white paint, paint in a lavender shade, acrylic varnish and modelling paste, and lace. Links can be found at the bottom.

Miejsca, w których będziemy naklejać papier ryżowy malujemy na biało a pozostałe na pasujący odcień fioletu.

Paint white the areas where the rice paper will be glued to and the rest a matching shade of purple.

Papier z motywami lawendy przykleiłam na zewnątrz i wewnątrz pokrywy pudełka, natomiast boki okleiłam papierem w kratkę i dodałam fragment z kropkami.

I glued the paper with the lavender motifs to the outside and inside of the box lid, while I covered the sides with checkered paper and added a section with dots.

Kiedy klej do decoupage wysechł, domalowałam tło i kilka gałązek lawendy. Teraz kilkanaście warstw lakieru a co trzy, cztery warstwy delikatne szlifowanie papierem ściernym.

When the decoupage glue had dried, I added the background and a few sprigs of lavender. Now several coats of varnish and every three or four layers a gentle sanding with sandpaper.

Teraz czas na użycie szablonów. Do ich wypełnienia użyłam pasty transparentnej na zewnątrz pudełka, co dało ciekawy efekt, a wewnątrz białej pasty modelujacej

Now it is time to use the stencils. To fill them in, I used transparent paste on the outside of the box, which gave an interesting effect, and white modelling paste on the inside

Aby napisy były bardziej widoczne, przecieram je pastą postarzającą a nadmiar ścieram. Przecieram też wszystkie brzegi aby je postarzyć. Na koniec pudełko pochlapałam białym gesso i dodałam koronkę

To make the lettering more visible, I wipe it with ageing paste and rub off the excess. I also rub over all the edges to age them. Finally, I splashed the box with white gesso and added lace.
