Tutorial: pudełko na małe skarby / Box for small treasures

 Tworząc mediowe projekty często martwię się, że są niepraktyczne. I tu świetnym rozwiązaniem okazuje się ozdabianie drewnianych pudełek. Taki mediowy twór można komuś podarować, przechowywać w nim zdjęcia lub inne drobiazgi. Ja w nich upycham różne kabelki, które potrzebuje mieć pod ręką.

When creating media projects I often worry that they are impractical. And here decorating wooden boxes turns out to be a great solution. Such a media creation can be given to someone, you can store photos or other stuff in it. I put various cables in them, which I need to have at hand.

Sprzątanie odlewów okazało się bardzo kratywne! Nie dość, że dzięki niemu zdobyłam deseczkę do alterowania to jeszcze znalazłam pojedyncze odlewy, które postanowiłam użyć w tworzeniu. I tak właśnie postała ta praca na desce.

The cleaning of castings it turned out to be very creative! I got a board to alter it and found single casts that I decided to use in creating. And this is what this board project was like. 

Odlewy to cudowny sposób na stworzenie bogatych i bardzo ciekawych projektów. 

Uwielbiam z nimi pracować i do ich zdobienia zawsze używam gessa.

Gesso zwiększa przyczepność farb do nich i pozwala mi na nałożenie koloru. 

Często w pracy z nimi używam fluidów, mgiełek czy wosków.

Tym razem użyłam mgiełki i wosku od Finnabair. 

Dodałam odrobine fluidu od DecoArt i efekt gotowy. 

Castings are a wonderful way to create rich and very interesting designs. I love working with them and always use gesso to decorate them. Gesso increases adhesion paints for them and allows me to apply color. I often use fluids, mists or waxes when working with them. This time, I used a mist and wax from Finnabair. I added a bit of fluid from DecoArt and the effect is ready.

The magic of the full moon \ Magia pełni księżyca

Świat dzikich zwierząt wydaje się być zagadkowy i magiczny - szczególnie nocą! Stworzyłam projekt na bazie w kształcie księżyca w pełni, na którym umieściłam zdjęcie wyjącego wilka. Tło potraktowałam wieloma rodzajami past strukturalnych i farb. Niestety zdjęcie nie oddaje wielu szczegółów tej pracy, ponieważ ciężko było uchwycić blask srebrnego wosku, brokatu oraz cekinów.

The world of wild animals seems to be mysterious and magical - especially at night! I've created a projekct on a full moon shaped base, on which I placed a photo of a howling wolf. I treated the background with many types of structural pastes and paints. Unfortunately, the photo doesn't show many details of this work, because it was difficult to capture the glow of silver wax, glitter and sequins.

Steampunkowa Skrzynka z Żarówką

 Z tymi podarkami to jest tak, że dla jednych robi się je bardzo łatwo, a nad innymi trzeba się głowić dnie i noce. Ta skrzynka to ta pierwsza kategoria, bo robiona dla osoby bardzo podobnej do mnie.
Też lubi steampunk, rdzę i postarzane projekty, więc robiąc tą skrzynkę, myślałam że robię ją dla siebie.
I tu robi się zabawnie, bo mimo że skrzynka w moim, guście, spodoba się jej, bo mi się podoba, a mimo wszystko stres był. Robiąc taki prezent, d;la wyjątkowej osoby, wszystko musi być idealnie, nie ma mowy o jakichkolwiek błędach czy niedociągnięciach.
Połączenie odlewów, metalowych elementów i Artisian Powder to prosty przepis na wyjątkową skrzynkę.

With these gifts it's like this, so easy to make them for some, and for others you have to think about for days and nights. This box is the first category, because it is made for a person very similar to me.
She also likes steampunk, rust and distressed designs, so when I was making this case, I thought I was making it for myself. And here it gets funny, because despite the fact that the box is to my liking, she will like it, because I like it, and yet there was stress. When making such a gift, for a special person, everything must be perfect, there is no place for any errors or shortcomings.
The combination of castings, metal elements and Artisian Powder is a simple recipe for a unique box.
